When we were growing up as kids, we always went over to my grandma’s house to make holiday cookies with the entire family. It was always a great time and all of the kids loved it…
Read More2018 has been quite the year! So much that I can’t believe we are already at the end of it! It has been full of adventures, amazing changes, and so much more…

Read MoreIt doesn't seem as long as it has since the last time I had the chance to work with Lauren and Nathan, but it has been a whole year already as crazy as that it. The last time we did maternity photos for their expecting baby boy, so this year we just had a fun couples session in the snow.
Read MoreIt’s December in Michigan, which usually means cold negative weather..
Not this year, the good ol' Mitten State had other plans. The fall time was non-existent and then we have had temperatures in the 50s even in what are usually the coldest months of the year. Not that I am complaining over here, I am not a fan of the cold at all. I blame my North Carolina blood for that...
Read MoreI have always loved Swan Lake; It could be because of my dance and ballet background, or the fact that I love a good fairy tale story.. depending on the version you read.
I considered remaking the white swan this year, but with it being October and Halloween season, I had to put that aside and embrace my inner Natalie Portman and create a Black Swan.

Those that love the show as much as I do, know how much you love watching Regina/The Evil Queen grown and become full of love. I mean, who doesn't love someone overcoming their dark side?
Read MoreI know, I know, I said that the campfire minis I just hosted would be the last mini sessions I did this year. But, I was working out my idea for our family Christmas cards this year and ended up choosing a family hot cocoa theme. Simple for a toddler, yet still festive enough that it works for the holidays.
Since it was such a cute idea, I decided that I would share it with everyone...

Read MoreI wanted to revisit another previous styled session I have done in the past, after all it is October. I love October and Halloween, so of course, why not get in the mood before the holiday officially hits.
Read MoreI decided to revisit a past stylized shoot from a few years ago. I'm Mexican, so I loved when I was able to spend time with Jaci on this Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) shoot. For those that are not familiar with the holiday, the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration is a time to honor the dead. The Spanish tradition, includes a three day festival full of parades and celebration of the life of the dead, as well as gatherings of families at cemeteries to pray for their deceased loved ones at the end of the day.
Read MoreIt is that time of year! Fall!
In Michigan, that means campfires, pumpkins, scarfs, hot chocolate, football, cider, and some amazing foliage. Which is why the month of October is the busiest times for photographer in the Midwest. Now, we all know that I adore summer and the beach, but if the one thing living in the south taught me, do not waste the leaves. The colors don't change in southern North Carolina! So I always make sure to embrace the fall while we still live here.
Read MoreSometimes, we don't need the beach days and a family get away to relax and spend time with one another. Many times, though it would be nice to, we can't make time, we can't coordinate schedules, we just can't get away from the hustle and bustle of our regular world. It sucks, because when do you really find the time to just relax and enjoy yourself while we are all still young?
Read MoreEbony and I have been Facebook and Instagram friends for a while now. Last year, I followed her story as she came out and told the world that she had Alopicia. As an inspiring model, she has been working on awareness for other girls with her condition and has been rocking the "bald."

Read MoreThe summer has been an incredibly busy one for our family; full of road trips, adventures, and making new friends. Though it has been an experience, it was good when we finally got to just relax at home and just work our way into a normal routine again. With doing this, I have been able to actually sit and observe as AJ interacts with the world around him.
