This year has been flying by. I can't believe that we are already into September!

As I have been looking back at the past months, I see so much change in AJ, it is really incredible, and yet sad at the same time. My little man needs to stop growing! But, since I cannot control that, here is A Day in Our Life: August Edition.

Day 213 | August 1, 2017

Welcome to our last work day of the week since we are going camping up north to get away from the stress that work has been bringing lately. Today, we had an occupant in our office, so AJ ate his pancakes at the parts counter. 

Day 214 | August 2, 2017

AJ loves riding tractors, especially when they are huge Yanmar ones to carry wood to the truck. No, he wasn't allowed to actually drive, though he kept trying when he was sitting on his aunts lap.

Day 215 | August 3, 2017

I call this our Titanic scene in the grocery store. AJ wanted to stand at the end of the cart when we were getting snacks for the camper. Seemed legit.

Day 216 | August 4, 2017

When you forget milk, you eat dry cereal. At least he didn't mind one bit and snacked on his breakfast all day until we went and ventured around the Whitefish Point area in the U.P.

Day 217 | August 5, 2017

Lake Superior wasn't as cold this year as it has been thankfully. Mainly, because I was told I had to get in with this little bossy child, and secondly, so he could play on his own so I could warm up in the sun after getting in said water.

Day 218 | August 6, 2017

First night back home, as you can tell.. the house is actually clean. That lasted a whole 20 minuted before AJ completely terrorized it and threw all the blankets on the floor and pulled out every single toy possible. Oh well, it was pretty while it lasted.

Day 219 | August 7, 2017

Someone is all tired out today after a week full of adventuring. Today was our first day back at work again and we both had a hard time coming back. Grumpiness was contagious and pretty much sumed up the day.

Day 220 | August 8, 2017

I will fully admit I bribe my child with ice cream to get him to do things I want him to do. Today's was a Rudy's Rootbeer Float so he would come in the house to take a bath. No shame in that mama game.

Day 221 | August 9, 2017

Our T.V. always has Trolls playing on it, always. I have seen this movie a million times already and probably will at least a billion more. At least the songs are catchy so I don't mind it on repeat so far.

The tower of Legos.
AJ has finally been figuring out that he can stack them as high as the sky if he doesn't actually knock them down after stacking 5. Though, he still likes knocking them down, they do finally make it this high before.

I am pretty sure that AJ gets more fun out of my elleptical than I do lately. I do all my cardio on the few days I am able to make it to the gym now, so I am not totally giving it up.

AJ likes to sneak up on you now. He hides then peeks around things when you ask him to do something. He is one stubborn child, I swear.

Day 226 | August 14, 2017

Someone found themselves a favorite spot in Starbucks I guess. I had to bribe him to leave that chair when I wanted to go after meeting with a client so we could grab dinner before heading to a photoshoot that evening.

Day 227 | August 15, 2017

We found our first Jackson Rock today at the Michigan Center Post Office. AJ loved it and held on to it until he fell asleep.

Day 228 | August 16, 2017

Today, we made a trip to see our besties in Wisconsin for the week. It took these two a minute to warm up to each other, but not long into the day, they were inseperatable.

Day 229 | August 17, 2017

Who doesn't love huge bouncy blow up obstacles. AJ loves to climb, and this makes it to where I don't fear he is going to fall and crack his head open on every surface imaginable.

Day 230 | August 18, 2017

"I'm going to get you"
That was the new phrase today at the park. AJ loves playing on the slide and chasing other kids around, sometimes adults too. Talking has been a stubborn struggle for us, so the fact that he is saying sentences makes me happy.

Someone had a snow cone for the first time today.. and he loved it. Strawberry, Watermelon, and Lime flavor was a hit for AJ.

When your child tries on princess heels and wants you to help him get them off, you take a photo first and laugh because he put them on the wrong feet. It's the thought that counts right?

This is why I can't get work done on Monday and Tuesday's. AJ takes up all of my desk with his things. At one point there were also three trucks up there.

Someone had a good time playing at Grandmy's house this afternoon because both Mom and Dad worked today.

Our tub is always full of cars. Anything with wheels on it, you can bet that AJ will love it. And even better if it is waterproof, since every thing gets dumped into the tub when it comes to bathtime.

Day 237 | August 25, 2017

I bought these for AJ when I was trying to get him to stop being lazy with a straw. Today, we said goodbye to two of them. They were getting too old and holding water in the side, which was disgusting I might add, so they got to meet the good ol' garbage can.

Mommy had a wedding today, so Goobie hung out with Grammy. He feel asleep as we were packing his things up to go home. Then stayed up all night once we got home. lol

AJ hasn't quite figured out the meaning of "too small." He kept having me put these slippers on his feet and they would come off almost immediately because they didn't fit anymore. He didn't like that he couldn't keep them on.

Day 240 | August 28, 2017

Someone had to visit the doctor today for a 2.5 year check up that I put off until almost two months late. Oh well, I had good reasoning considered he screamed for 40 minutes, then the only way he was even remotely happy was in his shirt, diaper, and rain boots. We had waited over two hours, so I didn't even fight him on the outfit. I just wanted to leave.

We took a short trip to the mall today.. which turned into three times longer because AJ wanted to play on the cars. I only got him to leave with bribing him that we would go see his dad at work.

Day 242 | August 30, 2017

Attempting to do family photos yourself is quite the experience. I do not reccommend it with a toddler, yet a few times every year I still make this decision. I honeslty will probably never learn.

Those blankets in the background? Yeah, I had them perfectly folded two minutes before that.. It is like he has camera watching them becuase EVERY SINGLE TIME he destroys them within fve minutes.
