Project 365 | July

I am still in shock at how fast this year has been flying by. Keeping up with this project has been hard, like really hard. I forget so many times to bring my camera or to get a shot during the cute moments that AJ has, but I manage to always have something to represent the day. Hopefully as things slow down with wedding season in the next couple of months, I can focus on getting more artistic and beautiful images. But until then, this is our life..

Day 182 | July 1, 2017

How are we already into July? It's crazy how fast this year has been going. This photo represents my life so well right now. Out of focus, a bit off, but full of love. AJ has to follow his morning routine when he wakes up, which consists of music or some sort of videos with Daddy, chocolate milk, and being a complete goof. I wouldn't trade these moments for the world.

When it is Sunday and you don't have to work the next Monday.. You get to be lazy with your little man all day. Daddy had to work, so we slept in and had a cozy, snuggly day.

AJ wanted to see the fireworks outside, but hated the noise. He jumped in my arms the instant they went off. Though, he did love the colors and lights of them, if only they were quieter.

We stopped by Aunt Renee's house to see her chickens before we went to Grandpa's for the annual Forth of July family gathering.. well it's every holiday pretty much. Can you really say no to free food?

Day 186 | July 5, 2017

When your toddler stays up later than you do on work nights. At least he gets to nap in the day. Me, however, has to carry him around at work when he is grumpy and tired from the night before. Yay mom life.

I have no shame in my babysitting game. Even though it is a short work week, I swear it seems like the longest week ever so far. My countdown for vacation is officially on. Less than a week now.

My grandpa got my sister and I these dogs when we were younger. I'm not sure how I ended u with them for AJ, but I am glad I did. He loves these little Taco Bell toys, and everytime I see him play with them it makes me smile. It is like a part of his great-grandpa is with him even though they never met.

We had a bridal shower to go to today, so that meant we actually looked like decent human beings for once. Normally Saturday is our day to relax and chill after the long week, but we got out and did our thing for once.

Day 190 | July 9, 2017

We attempted to put together a toy for AJ, to do yard work, and to stay away from all the bugs. It failed. We didn't have the right tools for his toy, he hated the grass on his naked butt so he wouldn't play in the pool so we could clean up this darn yard, and there were spiders in the area I was cleaning up, so I called it quits. Oh, well.

Our second short work week started today. You can't start a Monday off without coffee, and I always make sure to get AJ his chocolate milk when I grab mine. Someone wasn't too thrilled to be at work today either though, even the chocolate milk couldn't fix his attitude to

Day 192 | July 11, 2017

Bank runs today to make up for the week of not having to work. AJ had to grab his sucker like usual and he always picks the blue ones. I'm not sure if he knows that they will make the most mess or if he just likes the flavor that much.

Day 193 | July 12, 2017

We leave for our little family get away today. AJ as usual likes to sleep in so we get to wait on him to wake up before making our plans to head out. I love his little toes. I have from the day he was born and I still can't believe how much they have grown in the last two and a half years.

Someone was tired from all the walking we did today.. well not him, he rode in his stroller the whole time. He fell asleep right after this photo was taken.

It was a little cold for us to want to get in the water today, so we convinced AJ that this puddle next to the lake was perfect to play in. It worked for a little bit, then he wanted to tackle the waves again.

We took AJ to a children's museum today. It was nice for him to be able to play and just do his own thing. Of course, the first thing he loved was the water, then the car race tracks. I love watching him play and guess what is running through his mind.

On the way home we stopped at the zoo for AJ. He has been a nice little spoied boy this past week. And of course, he has loved every minute of it. He actually wasn't afarid of the giraffes this year also! Win!

Oh, to be back at work. The struggle is real for him I guess since he has to lay on the dirty floor. At least he thinks it is fun and loves the dirt. Mom though, hates cleaning him up all the time from it lol.

Mom! I'm going to climb all over these tractors becuase they don't have seats and steering wheels for me to use. I swear that is what goes through his head most days. That or he loves to climb on the most random things ever.

I get home from work to the Goobie tornado terrorizing our house. He loves to pull all of the pillows and blankets off of every bed and couch and pile them up for him to lay in. So funny.. until you have to pick them up

We try to take AJ out for walks around the neighborhood as much as we can. Some days they work out well, others he whines and wants carried. It's a coin flip on how he will act, but he keeps it interesting.

I technically didn't take this photo, Antonio did, but I didn't have one that I liked as much from today. My little mini me always cuddles and takes my side of the bed in the morning. We usually end up all sideways and leave no room in the bed. This morning was no different.

I have been hiding AJ's bath cars.. well they aren't actually bath cars, they are regular cars that he likes to put in the bath tub and leave there. So, instead of stepping on a bunch of little trucks everytime I take a shower, I now don't have to deal with stubbing my toe or the bottom of my feet being stabbed. He hasn't noticed so far...

Watching wrestling usually means they wrestle as well. AJ was giving his dad drop kicks and then Antonio would return with tickles. It was pretty funny to watch.

We are doing a family camping trip in a week, so AJ wanted to help install the fifth wheel hitch in grandpa's truck. Though he didn't help much, he did clean off the dirt in the bed of his truck with his butt and hands. I guess that counts as help right?

I was busy gathering last minute files for a meeting we have coming up at work. While I was doing this, AJ decided he wanted to take a nap.. hanging from the chair. It was too funny I had to snap this for the photo of the day and then I sent it to everyone in my phone. #momlife

AJ has been obsessed with these frozen cookies. I found them randomly at Meijer one day with him. The reason he picked them out was solely for the Elsa photo on the box, but at least he likes them.

It's a rough night over here...
AJ was whiny from the second him and his dad got home. I will be honest, I hid in the bedroom until he fell asleep. Calling him a monster does not do his attitude justice.

While mommy has a wedding to photograph, AJ gets to spend the day at grandmy's house. He loves his pool and didn't even cry like normal when I leave because of it. Finally, the perfect get away plan.

Someone was not willing to be photographed today.. even with bribery of the Flaming Hot Funyun in his mouth that I gave him. Oh well, at least it's a cute funny photo of him.

Everytime we go to the bank, AJ gets his sucker. Today, he thought he was smooth and took two. It ended up being fair since we spent a good hour plus there and he was the most well behaved as he was all day. That was the good part of the day, the rest was not so joyful. -_-
